The finalists in the 14th Screen Producers Australia Awards have been announced and the five ‘Children’s Television Production’ finalists include four children’s series supported by the ACTF.

The 2014 AWGIE Awards ceremony was held on 5 September in Sydney and paid tribute to some of Australia’s most talented writers across more than 20 performance writing categories.

Paper Planes, the Robert Connolly directed family film has been named the winner of Australia’s richest film prize.

The family feature film, Paper Planes, will have its world premiere at the Melbourne International film festival in August and will be released in Australian cinemas January 2015.

New animated shorts series, The Flamin’ Thongs is now showing on ABC3.
