This learning resource was designed for secondary English and/or Media Arts students in Years 7 and 8. The resource was created with self-directed and reflective learning in mind — prompts can be used in the classroom or given to students as flipped learning activities, allowing them to reflect and prepare for broader class conversations.

This resource centres on the personal and social skills and understandings that are explored in each episode of the children’s series, Eddie’s Lil’ Homies. It includes concepts, discussion starters and hands-on learning tasks that support Foundation to Year 2 students to understand themselves and others, supporting them to navigate relationships in the classroom and beyond.

This learning resource supports students and teachers in Years 7 to 10 to explore the themes in First Day, including gender identity, inclusivity, allyship and leadership.
