Synopsis

For children, family life has changed dramatically in recent years. Parents are older. Children are fewer. Often both parents work. One third of Australian marriages end in divorce.

Songs Of Innocence features 13 children from nine families, talking candidly about the often painful business of growing up in diverse family structures. It shows the complications that children face, as they sort things out on their path to adulthood, as well as the importance of the parents’ role and of communication in families.
