MONDAY: Hoopla Doopla! 10.27AM on ABC2


Episode 2 - Big Squidgie:
Ziggy wants to take a photo of everyone in Hoopla, with the tallest at the back and shortest at the front. Squidgie is the shortest but she doesn’t want to stand at the front, she wants to find a way be taller.

Episode 3 - Humpback Whale:

The beautiful Noosa coastline is the backdrop for a shower that Kayne won’t be forgetting in a hurry.

Episode 14 - Harvest Day:

It’s Harvest Day at Balloon Barnyard, which means it’s time to go around and collect all the ripe fruit and vegetables. The donkeys watch as the farmer tries to start the tractor to start the harvest.

Episode 6Hiccups:
Bop has giant hiccups  causing the whole town to rumble and shake, and making it impossible for him to fix anything. Bop’s friends come up with all sorts of suggestions for curing his hiccups.

Episode 6 - Fake It Until You Make It:

Abigail auditions for a guest role in a dance movie, while Grace does everything she can to ensure she’s allowed to go on the Third Year tour.

SATURDAY: Waabiny Time – Series 1, 8.00AM on NITV

Waabiny Time is a landmark in Australian TV; a kids variety program that uses Noongar Language. Presenters Kylie Farmer and Lee West take children from the ages of 3 to 6 on an educational and entertaining adventure, guiding our young viewers through 21 half-hour episodes of stories, songs and activities that are authentically indigenous and encourage participation.

Episode 17 - Paint Day
The barn needs a new coat of paint. The donkeys are just about to start painting the barn, when suddenly Pip and Streak are distracted by the three bunnies, who run straight past them. The bunnies have mysteriously changed colour overnight!

Coming soon to cinemas: Runt film adaptation

Written by Craig Silvey and illustrated by Sara Acton, the novel Runt was published in 2022 and was named the 2023 Book of the Year for Younger Readers by the Children’s Book Council of Australia. Australian schools will soon have the chance to enjoy this story on screen.

It has been an eventful month for the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) with the announcement of additional funding, a meeting with the federal Minister for the Arts, and a new Board member appointed by the Federal Government.
