Episode 13Family:
It's Open Week at the Academy and Tara discovers she is embarrassed by her unsophisticated parents, especially around her new boyfriend Ethan. Her mum later reveals that the farm is in serious financial trouble and her expensive tuition fees aren't helping. Meanwhile, Kat's mother reneges on her promised family holiday and Sammy's father also disappoints by failing to show up to watch him dance. Abigail is stuck at home in bed and finds a friend in Sammy.

Episode 14 - Turning Pointes:
Tara returns from the holidays excited to have been awarded the first year scholarship. However, this soon turns to disappointment when Kat leaves her standing alone outside a warehouse party the night before their first ballet class. Abigail is trying to be a perfect patient in her therapy sessions but has to ask for help in order to start tackling the real issues behind her eating disorder.

Episode 17 - Egremont Pole Climbing Competition:
Amberley and Gilly are in Egremont, England, where people gather annually to race to the top of a massive pole! Is this contest weird enough to be named the world’s wackiest sport? They’re about to find out as they reach for the sky at the Egremont Pole Climbing Competition.

After Tamara accuses Melanie of not washing her hands and “germblocks” her, Atticus and Debra-Jo investigate what really happened.

Episode 18 - The Grandparents Day:
Battie’s grandfather is the guest of honour at Grandparents Day but Battie is too scared to tell Mrs Gonsha that he is in hospital and won’t be able to come.

Episode 12 - Snakes On A Boat:
To compete with a rival tour boat, the Thongs add a venomous snake display to their whale-watching tour. On-board, havoc ensues when Holden’s high-pitched whale-attractor shatters the tank and all the deadly snakes escape.

Episode 11 - Urban Vet – Melbourne, Victoria:
High above Melbourne doing 360 spins in WWII fighter planes, Kayne introduces Brandon to his home turf, where they get involved with rescuing wild animals that live in the big city. From saving possums stuck up chimneys to removing fishhooks from wild turtles, living in the city makes for tense times! One of Brandon’s most memorable moments comes when he and Kayne take part in releasing a koala back into the wild after months of rehabilitation – heart-warming!

Coming soon to cinemas: Runt film adaptation

Written by Craig Silvey and illustrated by Sara Acton, the novel Runt was published in 2022 and was named the 2023 Book of the Year for Younger Readers by the Children’s Book Council of Australia. Australian schools will soon have the chance to enjoy this story on screen.

ACTF welcomes additional funding and new Board member

It has been an eventful month for the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) with the announcement of additional funding, a meeting with the federal Minister for the Arts, and a new Board member appointed by the Federal Government.
