Ireland to re-version Australia’s WAC
Ireland’s official Irish language television channel TG4, has acquired the format rights to the children’s wildlife series World Animal Championships (WAC).
Produced by Blacklab Entertainment the 52-part series, which puts the animal kingdom through its paces and has a heap of fun along the way, will be re-versioned by TG4 to include local hosts speaking in the Irish language.
TG4 plan to premiere their version of WAC in September 2015.
“We’re really looking forward to producing the Irish language version of WAC. The programme structure is very well suited to re-versioning and we are confident the humour, energy and entertainment value of the series will be a great addition to TG4’s kids schedule.” said Lís Ní Dhálaigh, TG4 Director Acquisitions & Output.
Produced by Blacklab Entertainment, World Animal Championships (WAC) is distributed internationally by the ACTF and the original Australian series was acquired by Disney Channel in the UK earlier this month. Read More
