Bushwhacked! New Series and Co-Host
Bushwhacked has been popular in Australia and around the world. Following its success, a second series is in production and has a new co-host.
Kamil Ellis, a 14-year-old Wiradjuri boy joins ABC3's energetic Kayne Tremills on a wild adventure around Australia in Bushwhacked Series 2.
The 13 x 24 minute live action documentary series, is being produced by Mint Pictures.
"We are so excited to have Kamil as part of the second season. His energy, knowledge and passion for all things Bushwhacked! will translate into a fantastic relationship with Kayne and for sure bring some glorious images to the screen," said Adam Kay, Mint Pictures Head of Programming.
Kamil Ellis has been performing traditional Aboriginal song and dance since the age of two, and he made his TV acting debut in the award-wining My Place.
He also landed a guest star role in series three of Dance Academy, recently appeared in the Sydney Dance Company's production The Secret River, and performed with the Ganang Spirit Dancers as a lead dancer and singer in traditional language.
Along the way, Kamil shows Kayne Indigenous rites and rituals and intriguing aspects of native wildlife as well as challenging him to some heart-pounding missions, including racing a whale shark and hugging a sawfish.
Bushwhacked Series 2 will be distributed internationally by the ACTF. ...
