Venue: Graduate House, University of Melbourne VIC
Website: http://www.atomvic.org/state-conference-2015/Summary:
Let’s blur the boundaries between school, home and industry. And let’s use technology to do it! Kids are creative, and they are curious.
This workshop is aimed at upper primary and lower secondary teachers and will explore how the ACTF is using contemporary resources and online events to put the student front and center of their learning, so as to support student’s creativity and curious disposition. The resources that will be explored during this workshop, support learners to be independent thinkers and to challenge the way they think about, and understand what they view so as to further develop their own creativity.
This workshop will showcase resources such as the MY:24 app and the digital script writing tool Sketch-O-Matic, as well as highlight online events and virtual excursions demonstrating how digital content that is engaging and challenging can promote autonomous, creative learning environments.
