Your personal information is being collected by the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ABN 93 005 986 952) and its related companies (together, “ACTF” “we”, “us” and “our”).

The types of personal information we may collect about you include:

  • your name, your contact details (including email address, mailing address, street address, telephone number and fax number), your age, your date of birth, your workplace, position of work and work history (including previous projects and credits);
  • your credit card and other payment details;
  • school name and location; and
  • your preferences and/or opinions, and other information you provide to us through surveys.

We ordinarily collect this personal information directly from you, but may also collect this personal information from third parties. Other types of information we collect may be website click stream data and cookies.

Personal information is collected to enable us to undertake the following:

  • to contact and communicate with you;
  • for business development and to manage our relationship with you;
  • to enable you to access and use our Website and your accounts with us;
  • to facilitate and complete purchases;
  • to conduct funding programs and process your applications;
  • to provide certain privileged access on the Website;
  • marketing purposes such as distributing our newsletters and conducting competitions and promotions;
  • to manage the ongoing lifecycle and commercial activities of a project (including licensing, distribution and disbursements);

If this personal information is not collected, we may not be able to communicate with you or provide you with our products, or you may not be able to access and use our websites, applications and your accounts with us (among other things). 

We may disclose this personal information to the following:

  • selected third parties who assist us in undertaking our business operations and providing our services (including technology service providers, data storage, web-hosting, professional advisors and payment systems operators);
  • our directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors and funders;
  • our existing and potential business partners for any given project and key stakeholders as part of the ACTF’s reporting obligations;
  • sponsors and promoters of any competition we run;
  • courts, tribunals and regulatory authorities as required by law, in connection with any actual or prospective legal proceedings, or in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights; and
  • third parties who assist us in providing products and information (including via direct marketing) to you.

We do not, in the ordinary course of our business, provide to third parties lists containing the personal information of individuals for those third parties to market their products to the relevant individuals.  

You may exercise your rights (plus any jurisdictional rights) to access and correct the personal information related to you or make a complaint to us about a privacy breach by contacting us on the details set out below.
