A lucky group of South Australian children were treated to a meet and greet with Australian astronaut Katherine Bennell-Pegg and a screening of brand-new episodes of Space Nova at a special launch event.
Held at the Australian Space Discovery Centre in Adelaide, guests had the chance to explore the exhibits and create and launch their own rocket before viewing two new episodes ahead of the broadcast premiere of the new series.
Space Nova S2 sees the space adventuring Nova family come face-to-face with even more strange lifeforms, physics-defying phenomena and planets beyond their wildest dreams.
Australian astronaut Katherine Bennell-Pegg said: “It’s fun to watch sci-fi shows like Space Nova – it helps us to dream about what might be. Humans are just at the beginning of exploring our solar system and the universe, so who’s to say what the future holds? The imagination behind these shows is a wonderful way – even for space engineers – to imagine how they might be able to build things to go to space.”
Space Nova S2 will premiere on ABC iview at 6am Thursday 24 April and broadcast on ABC Entertains from Monday 28 April.
Catch up on Season 1 on ABC iview.
