1868: Minna
Minna lives with strict, German-born parents, who privately hope their young daughter’s friendship with the well-to-do Owen children - Toby, Harold and Adelaide - will do her some good. Minna’s parents have no clue what these kids get up to when they’re on their own. Their favourite game is seeing who can scare the others the most. But, when the Owens blame Minna for a disaster caused by their own children, she decides to give them the fright of their life. Unwisely, Minna helps herself to her friend Leck’s beloved magic lantern to carry out her revenge, and soon she is in more trouble than ever.

Enter the Mermaid

After misjudging a wave while surfing, Lockie is saved by a mystery girl. Hearing the story, Philip is suspicious the girl may be a mermaid. When she arrives at Angelus High, he sets out to prove it. Meanwhile, Egg's loyalty to Lockie is tested.

Marnie enlists Danny’s help to work out what’s so great about the Wildcats. Marnie’s hunch was right. Ruby is defecting to the enemy.

Former ballet student, Tara Webster, was destined to become one of the top dancers of her generation before a devastating injury crippled her career.

Over the last eighteen months she has tried to move on and embrace life as a university student but cannot get over her dream of dancing professionally.

Haunted by her past, by the night she was injured, Tara embarks on a near impossible comeback, leaving her life and love behind in Sydney, determined to prove to the ballet world (not to mention herself) she still has what it takes.

Written by Craig Silvey and illustrated by Sara Acton, the novel Runt was published in 2022 and was named the 2023 Book of the Year for Younger Readers by the Children’s Book Council of Australia. Australian schools will soon have the chance to enjoy this story on screen.

It has been an eventful month for the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) with the announcement of additional funding, a meeting with the federal Minister for the Arts, and a new Board member appointed by the Federal Government.
