Who Got Funded by the ACTF in a Bumper Year for the Development of Australian Children’s Television?

The ACTF has received a record number of applications for development support in 2020 and committed over $500,000 across the year, to support the development of film and television projects which aim to engage, stimulate and entertain Australian children.

On 30 September 2020 the Minister of Communications, Cyber Safety and the Arts, the Hon Paul Fletcher announced that the Commonwealth Government would be providing the Australian Children’s Television Foundation with $20 million over 2 years from 1 July 2021 to boost the development, production and distribution of high-quality Australian children’s content. The 10 x 30-minute episodes are set in the world of Motocross and feature a diverse group of teenagers driven to succeed in their chosen sport.

Little J and Big Cuz – Series 3 in Pre-Production

14 x 12-minute episodes by Ned Lander Media, Media World and Blue Rocket will be delivered to NITV and ABC Kids in 2021 for broadcast and catch up online.

ACTF Project Development Funding Rounds Increase to Assist Producers and Writers During COVID-19

Over the coming months the ACTF will hold a script development funding round each month to support producers and writers of quality children’s projects during the current COVID-19 lockdown.
