The action-adventure series Nowhere Boys has been awarded the AACTA Award for ‘Best Children's Television Series’ at the 3rd Annual AACTA Awards Ceremony Luncheon, held in Sydney today.

Fourth-time Trop Jr entrant and first-time finalist, Adrian Di Salle has won the world’s largest short film festival, for kids by kids, with his short film The Adventures of Lucy. 

The seventh Trop Jr festival kicks off this sunny Sunday 8 December from 11am at its new venue Brazilian Fields in Sydney’s Centennial Park.

Trop Jr has announced its 16 finalist films. To make the cut, entrants had to create a film of less than seven minutes based on a signature item, which for December 2013 was ‘Monster’.
