Australian Netflix subscribers are in for a wild ride, with the streaming service acquiring the award-winning comedy-horror series Crazy Fun Park.
Crazy Fun Park tells the story of Chester, a teenage boy whose life is turned upside down following the death of his best friend Mapplethorpe at an abandoned theme park.
Chester discovers that the soul of Mapplethorpe is very much still alive and kicking – and so he returns night after night to hang out with his friend and the other undead kids who haunt the fun park.
Produced by Werner Film Productions for the ABC, Crazy Fun Park has been licensed to broadcasters all over the world, including the BBC (UK), Hulu (US), KIKA (Germany) and NRK (Norway). It has won a prestigious Prix Jeunesse Award and Most Outstanding Children’s Program at Australia’s Logie Awards.
