Filming begins on second season of The PM's Daughter

The PM’s Daughter is back, with a new season of the critically acclaimed political comedy-drama series now in production.

Produced by Fremantle Media for the ABC, Season 2 is currently being shot on location throughout Sydney.

Just when Cat Parkes Pérez has finally settled into life at The Lodge, she learns that the journey of the Prime Minister’s daughter is never smooth. While juggling the pressures of a federal election campaign, an emerging conspiracy and her mum’s highly publicised love life, Cat’s journalism aspirations are put to the test as she digs to uncover her first story.

The PM’s Daughter welcomes back an exciting cast of young talent, including Cassandra Helmot as Cat, Natalie English as Sadie and Jaga Yap as Ollie, who this season are working with directors Julie Kalceff and Lisa Matthews.

The series was created by Tristram Baumber and Matthew Allred. Season 2 is led by producer Tim Powell and co-producer Yingna Lu, along with story producer Jess Paine. The executive producers are Fremantle’s Warren Clarke, Tristram Baumber, ABC’s Mary-Ellen Mullane and ACTF’s Bernadette O’Mahony, with Fremantle’s Kieran Hoyle as co-executive producer.

Season 2 of The PM’s Daughter will premiere on ABC ME and iview in 2023.
