Reflect

In Thalu, a compass guides the adventures in the story since the first episode of the series.

  • Share what you know about the compass as a tool, and document any wonderings you have.
  • The directions are unusual on this magical compass. What do you think these directions mean? Which one would you follow and why?
    • This Way
    • That Way
    • Right Way
    • Wrong Way
        • ‘The Others’ take the kids’ compass and cart - valuable belongings for the adventure. Discuss the ethics of this situation from both perspectives and how the situation might have been handled differently.

        Activity

In the following clip from episode 1, the kids are first given the tool by Bits and Bobs. Watch the clip then brainstorm navigation tools. Select one to create a unique design worthy of as a way for characters to succeed in an adventure on Country.
