Reflect

  • Why are obstacles interesting in a story?
  • How would you describe the Shadow Boxer in 2-3 sentences?
  • What did you notice about the colours of the Shadow Boxers robe and shorts? How might this connect with his identity?

    Activity

The young group of adventurers must pass an area blocked by the Shadow Boxer. The boxing gloves are said to be magical. The young people need to ‘choose’ a worthy component: if the gloves fit, they get to take on the boxer in the ring.

Identify an item of clothing or accessory, one that requires the perfect fit. Create a plan for a story, using a quick outline structure with the following beats:

    1. Describe an obstacle the characters must overcome.
    2. Draw a magical item of clothing or accessory that can only be worn by one character.
    3. Explore how the magical item allows the character to overcome the obstacle.
