Reflect

The young group comes across a school from another time.

  • How might this place of learning be the same or different to where you learn?
  • How would you describe the principal of the school to someone who had not yet seen this episode?
  • What did you notice about the props in this episode? For example the furniture and learning resources like the writing tools? Why do you think the creators used these props in the episode?

Activity

To escape the principal and get out of the school, Samara and Keile have the idea to distract her by creating a diversion. As a diversion, the kids pretended to have head lice (nits) so that the principal would send them outside.

In small groups, plan a diversion to distract a teacher, then act out the scene on a teacher or principal to see if the diversion works. Try adding a diversion to a story, with dialogue between characters to express the steps of the plan.
