The ACTF has established a number of innovative education programs in partnership with schools, festivals, education departments, the entertainment industry and other organisations throughout Australia.

Each program is focused on improving student outcomes, and promotes both personal and wider community development.

In 2011, Cineclub in Australia was set up and run by Australian teachers and filmmakers who wanted to help schools in each state embrace film as a way of enriching learning and to help prepare them for the new National Curriculum for Media Arts.

Cineclub: The Young Filmmaker's Network, train professional filmmakers and teachers to set up and run filmmaking workshops and projects for young people. Their aim is to create a vibrant and thriving network of young filmmakers who create, watch and share films with each other.

Cineclub and the Australian Children's Television Foundation (ACTF) collaborated to bring to schools an interactive learning resource dovetailed with a practical filmmaking program to promote and celebrate our indigenous culture and to help develop literacy skills through digital low-budget storytelling.
