Ambience Entertainment and Tamarind Tree Productions provided some fun facts about the Barrumbi Kids television series.   

It took four years to navigate the development, financing and production plan of this ten-episode adventure series. 

Barrumbi Kids employed more Northern Territory cast and crew than any other series to date. 

Our two lead cast, Nick Bonson and Caitlin Hordern were local children who auditioned for the series and had never acted on screen before. 

Being welcomed to Country by Traditional Owners at key locations was an incredibly inspiring and inclusive experience for cast and crew. 

Barrumbi Kids gave more than 40 people either a career escalation or their first job in film or television. 

When all of the trucks arrived in Beswick, the kids thought the Carnival mob had arrived. They were very disappointed to find out they were just the make-up, costume and green room trucks! 

When NITV first aired, Beswick was one of the first communities to provide content. Their short films, music videos and documentaries were aired regularly for the first year. 

Our Senior Cultural Advisors and Jawoyn Traditional Owner loved being on set. They appeared in many episodes and gave many wonderful talks to the cast and crew. 

The wife (Gloria Lane) of our Senior Cultural Advisor Tango (Frankie Lane) loved being an extra so much that she was in enough shots to create a feature reel. 

Filming at Edith Falls and Bitter Springs was the one of the most memorable experiences for the crew.
