The Dough Monster
Mimi decides to make an extra large pizza for everyone in Hoopla, but when she tosses the sticky pizza dough high in the air, it lands all over her. The others mistake her for a monster - a dough monster.

Episode 3
Tiger Snake – Wilderness, Tasmania

Brandon and Kayne come face to face with a Tiger Snake in its natural habitat of the Wesley Vale Marshland, outside of Launceston. One of the world’s most deadly snakes, Brandon and Kayne learn how to handle it safely, as well as milk its venom! The boys also head deep underground for a caving adventure in the honeycomb tunnels of Mole Creek Caves, before getting their hearts racing, speeding high off the ground down a zipline in the treetops of Liffey Forest. And in a surprise even to the crew, the boys got their hands on 10 newborn baby snakes!

After missing out on the finals trophy last year, the Mustangs are pumped and ready to get back in the game. Problem is - there's a Ruby shaped hole in the team since she defected to the Wildcats, and it's wobbling everyone.

SATURDAY: Little J and Big Cuz on SBS on Demand


Little J, he’s five, and Big Cuz, she’s nine. They’re a couple of Indigenous Australian kids, living with their Nanna and Old Dog.

Little J and Big Cuz are busy with the ups and downs of playground and classroom. There’s always something surprising going on - whether it’s at school, in the backyard... or beyond. The gaps in Nanna’s ramshackle fence lead to Saltwater, Desert and Freshwater Country. With the help of Nanna and their teacher Ms Chen, Little J and Big Cuz are finding out all about culture, community and country.

SUNDAY: Nowhere Boys – Series 1-4 on ABC iView

Four boys return from a school excursion to discover they are stuck in a parallel world into which they were never born.

Combining supernatural, action-adventure elements with comedy and genuine human drama, the series tracks the journey of alpha-jock Jake, Goth Felix, nerd Andy and the golden child, Sam, in their quest to find out what happened to them and how they can return home.

Coming soon to cinemas: Runt film adaptation

Written by Craig Silvey and illustrated by Sara Acton, the novel Runt was published in 2022 and was named the 2023 Book of the Year for Younger Readers by the Children’s Book Council of Australia. Australian schools will soon have the chance to enjoy this story on screen.

ACTF welcomes additional funding and new Board member

It has been an eventful month for the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) with the announcement of additional funding, a meeting with the federal Minister for the Arts, and a new Board member appointed by the Federal Government.
