What’s On TV?

View our guide.

In the lead up to Christmas, the school holidays are packed with some of our favourite programs!

Throughout the week (7.30AM) and weekends (6.30AM) on NITV, you can catch the pre-school Waabiny Time – Series 1. Over on ABC2, pre-schoolers can also follow what’s happening in the town of Hoopla with the talented cast of Hoopla Doopla! – Monday to Fridays at 10.12AM.

Meanwhile, ABC3 is playing your favourite cartoon rockers Arj, Barj and Larj in Dukes of Broxstonia – Series 3, 8.53AM weekdays.

Teen drama series Ready for This, which follows the story of six teenagers, all elite within their own field, each with a different agenda and different dreams, will continue to air its debut season on ABC3 every Monday night at 6.20PM throughout the Christmas period.

Christmas Eve is shaping up to be full of joy, celebrating with a holiday-themed episode of Worst Year of My Life, Again! In this episode, Alex tries to give his Mum the joyous, family-filled day she so desperately wanted, despite live turkeys, exploding fish, choking aunts and humiliating underwear... Don’t miss this festive favourite: 24th December at 12.30PM on ABC3!

On Christmas Day, celebrate with Handball Heroes! Early Christmas Morning at 7.30AM on ABC3, you can watch Malachi’s REDFERN QUICKSTEP, which has his opponents ducking and weaving. Our hosts have to have fast feet to book this move, inspired by his Sydney football club, the Redfern All Blacks.

For the entire school break and beyond, you can watch the complete collection of Australian classics Round the Twist – Series 1-4 and Mortified on Netflix Australia.

You can find the ACTF’s ‘What’s On TV’ guide here. Merry Christmas and happy holiday viewing!
