Developed for Year 5 and 6 teachers and students, this resource details 10 lessons on teamwork and leadership. Each lesson incorporates curriculum links, a relevant MaveriX clip, discussion starters to prompt classroom conversation, and learning tasks aimed at developing students’ teamwork and leadership knowledge and skills.
Created in collaboration with the Australian National Maritime Museum, this learning resource supports students and teachers in Years 3 to 6 to explore the animated television series The Deep in the classroom. The resource includes two Science learning sequences: (1) Ocean creatures, habitats and stories; (2) Protect the oceans using design and technologies.
Developed in partnership with Queer Town, this resource supports Years 9 to 12 students and teachers to examine key themes in the M-rated series More Than This. Throughout five lessons, the resource addresses: Identity and belonging; gender identity and sexuality; consent and respectful relationships; peer, family and academic pressures; and mental health.
This water safety education resource for Foundation to Year 2 students contains eight lesson plans to use alongside school swimming lessons, as part of class inquiries into health and safety, or to address Health and Physical Education curriculum content. The water safety advice in the resource was reviewed and endorsed by Surf Life Saving Australia in early 2023.
Suitable for Foundation to Year 2, this resource guides students in exploring how colour and light are used to build story and influence the audience’s mood in animation. It includes pre- and post-viewing activities that stimulate and extend the ideas presented during the provided 25-minute virtual workshop recording.
