Kangaroo Beach to premiere in Canada
The ACTF international distribution team has had a strong start to the year, with Kangaroo Beach one of several series set to air in brand new markets in 2023.
Since the launch of Kangaroo Beach S2 on ABC Kids in Australia this January, there has been strong interest from international broadcasters. Both seasons of the animated preschool series have been picked up by TVO and Knowledge Network in Canada, while Season 2 will screen in Finland after being acquired by Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE). Season 2 will also air on Nick Jr & Milkshake in the UK and on TVNZ (New Zealand) this year.
Strong sales continue for S2 of the ground-breaking live-action drama First Day, with the Emmy-nominated second season to air in Belgium (RTBF) and Canada (CBC, TFO and SRC).
Season 2 of the mockumentary mystery series The Inbestigators will air in Lithuania after being picked up by Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT), and the unique factual entertainment series MY:24 has been sold to TFO Canada.
ACTF International Sales Manager Tim Hegarty said: “It’s great to see that the appetite for high-quality Australian content remains strong worldwide. We’re working with several other broadcast partners to bring content from the ACTF catalogue to countries right across the globe, and other exciting sales will be announced in the coming months.”
