We are a non-profit company funded by the Commonwealth Government and the governments of all the States and Territories in Australia. We provide assistance and support for children’s media that delivers on our aspirations for the children’s audience and we distribute children’s media all over the world.

Our Team
The ACTF staff are based in our office in Fitzroy and have expertise in development, production, finance, and distribution of children’s screen content and developing resources for the education sector.
Board of Directors
ACTF Board Members are appointed by our funding Ministers.

Academy Award winner Shaun Tan’s Tales from Outer Suburbia to be adapted for television
The Oscar-winning team behind The Lost Thing, Shaun Tan and producer Sophie Byrne, has joined forces with Barbara Stephen and Alexia Gates-Foale from animation studio Flying Bark Productions to develop an animated series based on Shaun’s bestselling illustrated book Tales from Outer Suburbia.
