To date, the series has sold outside Australia to Germany’s Super RTL, Discovery Asia, TG4 Ireland, National Geographic Kids USA, Dish Network USA, Popcornflix USA, Middle East Media, and TVO Canada.
It has also been a finalist in a whole host of international awards including winning ‘Best Children’s Programme’ at the Asian Television Awards.
Bushwhacked! Series 2 has been shortlisted for the 2015 Kidscreen Awards, was a finalist in the BANFF Rockie Awards, a runner up at the Prix Jeunesse, a finalist at the AIB Awards (Association for International Broadcasting) and nominated for a Wildscreen Panda Award (UK).
Bushwhacked! is produced by Mint Pictures and a third series is currently in production.
The third series criss-crosses Australia with 13 new adrenalin packed missions such as taking a humpback whale shower in Queensland, to catching a platypus in Tasmania (and giving it a pregnancy test).
The ACTF distributes Bushwhacked! worldwide and DVDs of the first two series are available from the ACTF shop for use in schools.
