You're Skitting Me - Sold to Germany

The ACTF is delighted to announce the sale of the children’s sketch comedy series You’re Skitting Me to ARD Bayerischer Rundfunk for broadcast on Germany’s dedicated free-to-air channel for children, Kinderkanal (KiKa).

Produced by Jigsaw Entertainment for ABC3, and distributed internationally by the ACTF, You’re Skitting Me is an eclectic combination of sketches featuring a random mix of characters, monologues, parodies and animations, made for children aged from 10 to 15.

Starring all new Australian talent, You’re Skitting Me features an ensemble cast of teens who were specifically chosen for their natural comic skills. The series was made with high production values, is tightly formatted and fast paced. It has the familiarity of format that will appeal to young viewers, but a sophistication of material that can be enjoyed by everyone...

"Comedy for kids is one of the most difficult genres. However, the producers of YSM succeeded in creating truly snappy humour. Moreover the actors are playing authentically and performing with virtuosity which makes us laugh a lot and be truly respectful of their achievement. The sketches will have the finger on the pulse of our young viewers." says Ruprecht Joos, Commissioning Editor, Children´s Department, ARD-Bayerischer Rundfunk.
