Task 9: Creative Writing

Throughout this learning sequence, students have built their understanding of adaptations and intertextuality by focussing on Paul Jennings’ novels, Round the Twist and Round the Twist The Musical.  

Challenge students to apply this knowledge by adapting a text of their choice. They should select a favourite written text, television series or musical and adapt aspects of this for another text type. For example, students may develop a script excerpt, a storyboard, a short comic, or plan a written text.
