Episode 10: ‘Mirrors’

Chester, Mapplethorpe and Violetta are all forced to confront the things they most want to forget when Remus puts a dangerous plan into action. Later, Chester leaves town to attend art school in Berlin. Once there, he writes a comic book about a fun park and two friends called, The Awesome Adventures of Fester and Maggotboy.

Task 1: Year 7 English

The closing sequence of Crazy Fun Park brings the overall story to a conclusion. It resolves the main plot points and character arcs and ties up loose ends. The closing sequence of a story should provide a sense of closure and may offer insights, reflections or a glimpse into the characters' futures, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

Choose one main character (Chester, Mapplethorpe, Violetta, or Remus) and analyse their arc throughout the series. Specifically, comment on:

  1. The personal problem they faced at the beginning of the series.
  2. The actions they undertook to face and overcome this problem.
  3. How their problem was finally resolved.

Think of your character’s arc as a chain of events. As in: this happened, then this happened, then this happened, and so on.

Extension: Plot your character’s arc or journey through the series on a storyline that’s broken into Act One, Act Two, and Act Three.

Remember:

  • Act One — establishes the character and the problem they need to overcome.
  • Act Two — presents a range of challenges that may stop them from overcoming their problem.
  • Act Three — resolves their problem.
