ACTF Website Feedback in Professional Learning Webinar
The ACTF is increasingly connecting with both teachers and students through online events. We were thrilled with the positive feedback we received for our new website in a recent professional learning webinar.
Being a national organisation, our virtual learning events enable us to meet teachers from all over the country, and to share our resources and expertise with them. In our most recent webinar, Peter Maggs (Head of Education) and Janine Kelly (Curriculum Officer) walked teachers through the key new features of our updated ACTF website. The pair focussed on the new structure and content of the Education section, and demonstrated features including our new Education Packages of bundled content and support materials.
We were very happy to receive positive feedback both during and after the session. Anne, a Teacher Librarian from a NSW primary school, joined the webinar because she is keen to use more ACTF resources. She found the session useful, saying that it appeared easy to search for and access resources on the updated site. When asked which themes she would like to see represented in future ACTF education resources, Anne suggested a package on diversity – an idea that we love.
Having recently joined our Dance Academy movie webinar with her students, Queensland Physical Education teacher Margaret-Mary is now familiar with our virtual learning opportunities for both students and teachers. Margaret-Mary commented that the ACTF website is now more visual, making it easier to find resources for the classroom; she even stumbled across a perfect resource for her school’s safety education while chatting with us!
For those who missed the live event, this webinar will soon be uploaded to the Professional Learning section of the ACTF site. Stay tuned to our Education eNews for details of more virtual learning opportunities for students and teachers.
