ACTF Delivers Package of 100+ hours of Children’s Titles to South African Public Broadcaster, SABC

SABC has snapped up 16 titles from the ACTF’s award winning kids catalogue through South African distributor, Urban Pictures. Titles include recent releases, Hardball and Little Lunch, which will screen for the first time in the territory on free-to-air television. Other titles include classic and global hit series Mortified, Genie from Down Under and Girl from Tomorrow.

Violet Sekhibidu, Channel Manager at SABC said, “We are excited to bring over 100 hours of high quality and engaging ACTF content to South African television. With Australia’s dynamic landscapes, rich cultures and celebration of diversity showcased within these storylines, this is tv content sure to connect and inspire audiences of all ages. Watch it on SABC channels starting June 2020”.

Jenny Buckland, CEO at ACTF said, “We’re excited that so many Australian children’s series are set to reach South African children – may the universal themes, quirky Australian humour and sun drenched backdrops to our stories bring joy and connect the children of South Africa and Australia to each other.”

Broadcasters and audiences globally continue to show an increased appetite for premium Australian content from the ACTF encompassing both new and evergreen titles across all platforms. This latest package represents a great mix of award winning children’s series that have proven to be audience favourites.
