Nowhere Boys wins international children’s TV award
Nowhere Boys, produced by Matchbox Pictures, has won the 'International Youth Jury Prize' at the Prix Jeunesse International Festival 2014.
The award ceremony was held in Munich, Germany, and celebrates quality television for young people worldwide.
The Festival attracted executives, producers, writers, researchers, educators and child development experts from around 70 countries including the ACTF’s CEO, Jenny Buckland and Head of Development and Production, Bernadette O’Mahony.
This year was the 50th Anniversary of Prix Jeunesse International, the world’s oldest and most prestigious children’s television competition.
The 2014 competition attracted a record number of award entries from over 60 countries.
Nowhere Boys was a finalist in the 12-15 year-olds Fiction/ Non-Fiction category and Bushwhacked! Series 2 was a finalist in the 7-11 year-olds, Non-Fiction category.
